Donetsk, Jun 3 - DAN. Kiev will use British and Scandinavian specialists to train snipers, sappers and saboteurs in Donbass, deputy head of the Donetsk People’s Republic militia Eduard Basurin said on Thursday.
“The arrival of 60 British and Danish instructors at the Urzuf firing range next to Mariupol has been spotted; they plan to train up to 500 Ukrainian servicemen as part of the training mission Orbital from May 31 to July 15. The programmes are mostly focused on sniper and mine laying skills and special operations,” Basurin said.
Servicemen of the Ukrainian army’s 56th Separate Motorised Infantry Brigade will take part in the training, he added.
Earlier reports said that Kiev had invited foreign specialists to demine areas in Donbass because the minefield maps were missing.*jk
