Donetsk, May 27 - DAN. Ukrainian army used radio electronic warfare equipment near the Petrovskoye-Bogdanovka security zone to jam signals of a drone belonging to the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission, the Donetsk People’s Republic People’s Militia reported on Thursday.

“Ukraine continues to persistently hinder the work of international monitors blocking the operation of OSCE unmanned aerial vehicles,” the report said. “To prevent the detection of banned weapons of 93rd Brigade, a mobile group of 305th Separate Battalion actively used a Bukovel-AD radio electronic warfare system in the Bogdanovka village area.”

OSCE Secretary General Helga Schmid is on a working visit to Ukraine. The DPR militia said that the visit is taking place amid the increasing cases of Ukrainian  forces’ hampering the OSCE SMM work in Donbass.  The crash of a long-range OSCE drone in the Konstantinoka area was the last straw. Following the incident, the OSCE grounded all drones of this type.

The Kiev-controlled Bogdanovka is located in southern Donbass. It accommodates one of the three pilot security zones.*jk
