Donetsk, Dec 22 – DAN. DPR Head Aleksander Zakharchenko congratulated Donetsk News Agency on the 2nd anniversary of its establishment, saying it is the Republic’s main media outlet.
“Over these two years, you’ve been growing and evolving together with the Republic. DAN is the main source of news about Donbass for our citizens and many readers outside DPR. I’m happy to see mostly young journalists working in the republic’s major agency where a new generation of reporters is growing,” Zakharchenko said in his message of greetings to DAN.
DPR head underlined that despite opponents’ provocations, DAN journalists were doing a professional job and meeting the highest standards of journalism.
“Our main weapon is honesty. Only truth will prevail, both on the contact line and in media space,” he added.
“From the bottom of my heart I wish you professional growth, larger readership and inspiration, and more positive DAN news to all of us,” Zakharchenko said.
The decree establishing the Donetsk News Agency state-owned enterprise was signed by the DPR head on December 22, 2014 and published the next day. *jk
