Donetsk, Feb 5 - DAN. Voda Donbassa company launched repairs of a Yuzhodonbasskiy Water Duct transformer outside Yasinovataya damaged by Ukrainian forces fire on 26 January, a company representative told Donetsk News Agency on Monday.

“Repairs are ongoing. We have all the necessary materials, including oil. The repair teams began to work as both sides provided safety guarantees,” the Voda Donbassa representative said.

The repairs will run from Monday through 10 February. “I believe we might finish them before the deadline if no emergencies occur,” he said.

On 26 January, Ukrainian military opened fire at the 1st level pumping station of Yuzhnodonbasskiy Water Duct damaging a transformer which leaked 2.5 tons of oil. The incident had no serious impact on the station’s operation as it promptly switched to the backup power source. *jk
