Donetsk, Jun 6 – DAN. An online voting begins to choose the name of the first DPR-made tram, the Minister of Industry and Trade Alexey Granovskiy announced.
"We have already received a bunch of ideas. Today the official voting kicks off at the ministerial website, the vote is open to anyone till June 21."
Ten best ideas out of two hundred have been chosen for the final round: Gornyak (Minetaineer), Dobrynya (one of Russian folklore bogatyrs, epic knights), Donchanin (Donetsk resident), Lastochka (Swallow), Pioneer, Pobeda (Victory), Rusich (Slavic person), Strela (Arrow), Ugolyek (Little Coal), Ya Donetskiy (I belong with Donetsk).
The Donetsk Electrical Engineering Plant, the tram manufacturer, is currently working on metal lining of the trams’ bodies before sending them to the auto painting shop. The first ten trams produced in the Donetsk People’s Republic will renew the Donetsk electric public transport.*ot
