Donetsk, Nov 20 - DAN. Mobile operator Vodafone service is unavailable in the Donetsk People’s Republic due to cable damage, the DPR Communications Ministry press service reported on Tuesday.
“The DPR currently lacks the Vodafone signal due to damage to the cable link with the Lugansk People’s Republic. The problem is being looked into,” the press service said.
Adverse weather conditions are interfering with the repairs, it added.
Donbass experienced mobile network problems last winter. After the trunk cable accident in the Elenovka area, the Ukrainian mobile operator’s network was unavailable for more than three and half months. It was only on April 27, 2018 that Vodafone went back on line. It has experienced regular outages since.*jk
