Donetsk, Feb 5 - DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic intelligence detected Ukrainian army mortar positions on the contact line in Donbass. The emplacement list was shown by DPR People’s Militia spokesman Daniil Bezsonov at a press briefing in Donetsk on Tuesday.
“We have precise coordinates of Ukrainian armed formations’ mortar firing positions,” Bezsonov said.
He named the location of mortar squads of 93rd and 30th Mechanised Brigades, 57th and 58th Motorised Infantry Brigades, 79th Air Assault and 128th Mountain Assault Brigades. They are deployed in the industrial zones of Avdeyevka and Novoluganskoye, in southeastern outskirts of the Peski township and in the vicinity of the Yuzhnaya coalmine, east of the Vodyanoye village and in the Granitnoye village’s industrial zone.
Bezsonov noted an increase in the number of strikes at the DPR territory and the use of large calibre mortars.
Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian army units fired at the Donetsk People’s Republic more than 50 rounds of ammunition, violating the ceasefire 17 times. On Monday evening, the enemy shelled northern and eastern Donetsk outskirts with 120mm mortars.*jk
