Donetsk, Jul 2- DAN. Donbass Post has issued more than 200 stamps with various themes since the start of operation five years ago, specialist of the state-owned enterprise stamp collecting department Valeria Sinitsyna said at a press conference at the Donetsk News Agency on Thursday.

“As of now, the Republic’s Postal Service has issued 218 stamps including 15 standard ones,” Sinitsyna said. “Thirty-seven souvenir sheets, three original postage stamps, two stamped envelopes and two stamped postal cars have been put in postal circulation.”

The Joseph Stalin stamp has been most popular, she said. It was issued in December 2019 with the number of copies at 16,000 which sold out in a single day.  The stamp launched the Great Personalities series and marked the birthdate of Stalin, a revolutionary and politician.

Established in December 2014, Donbass Post began to issue postage stamps in the spring of 2015.   The first stamps commemorated DPR Heroes Mikhail Tolstykh (Givi) and Arsen Pavlov (Motorola).*jk
