Donetsk, May 24 – DAN. Over 500 people visited the International scientific forum "Innovation in Donbass Perspective: Infrastructural and Socio-Economic Development" in Donetsk today.

"This year more spheres of expertise were presented at the forum as compared to the previous year," said first deputy minister of Education and Science Mikhail Kushakov. "We have invited not only scientists, but also industry representatives, businessmen, workers of ministries and agencies who are entitled to carry out talks on implementing some of the blueprints and developments."

"Scientists from Kiev-controlled parts of Donbass were also present."

The event took place at Donetsk National Technical University. The opening of the Forum was preceded by the exhibition of developments made by DPR scientific and educational institutions.

Among the models showcased at the exhibition was a newly developed sieving machine with capabilities compared to a whole coal preparation plant. An airlift pump has been showcased, aimed at pumping water from flooded mines.
The Forum will continue till May 26. Six applied-sciences conferences, exhibitions and round tables are scheduled – 15 events all in all.

The events will be housed by Donetsk National Technical University, Donetsk Railroad Transport Institute, Donetsk Transport Academy and Donetsk Botanical Garden. A compilation of scientific works will be published after the Forum closes its work. *ot
