Donetsk, Dec 27 — DAN. The Russian government has extended, by another two years, the ban on exports of certain goods including medical equipment and agricultural machinery, the Cabinet said on its website on Wednesday.
The ban applies to electrical equipment, turbines, nuclear reactors, fiber optic cables, certain types of aircraft, radars, batteries and metalworking machinery.
These goods cannot be exported to foreign countries except the Eurasian Economic Union member-states. Exceptions include the medical equipment brought to Russia for state registration, refrigerators, certain types of pumps and ships.
Russia introduced export restrictions in March 22 pursuant to presidential decree on measures “in the field of foreign economic activity to ensure the security of the Russian Federation.” *jk
