Donetsk, May 4 - DAN. Russia-Donbass Integration Committee will hold its second meeting in Donetsk on 12 May, DPR Council of Ministers Deputy Chairman Dmitriy Trapeznikov told a news conference on Thursday.
“We are expecting an important event on 12 May, the second meeting of Russia-Donbass Integration Committee,” Trapeznikov said.
The session is to take place at Donetsk’s Shakhter Plaza Hotel. It will be attended by Russian political scientists and guests from Russian republics.
The Committee had its founding session in Crimea on 17 March 2017. It addressed DPR and LPR comprehensive cooperation with Russia.
The organizers said the Committee was a permanent public body aimed at stepping up Donbass humanitarian, social, and cultural integration with the Russian Federation. The first meeting was attended by DPR and LPR Heads Alexander Zakharchenko and Igor Plotnitskiy.
The Committee is expected to meet several times in 2017; Donbass is one of the venues.*jk
