Donetsk, May 9 - DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic marked the 72nd anniversary of victory over Nazi Germany with a large military parade in the city centre.
Seventeen parade crews marched along the main street with more than 50 pieces of military hardware.
More than 60,000 people attended V-Day celebrations as participants or viewers, including DPR senior officials and heads of ministries, departments and local administrations.
Honorary places were reserved for WWII veterans, the key heroes of the occasion. Dozens of them attended one of the most revered holidays, often called “the holiday with tears in the eyes.”*jk
