Donetsk, Apr 22 - DAN. More than 130 Donetsk People’s Republic residents applied for joining the DPR Public Chamber over a week, head of the DPR leader’s Domestic Policy Department Olga Pozdnyakova told the Donetsk News Agency on Monday.
“Over a week, more than 130 applications were submitted by potential candidates to the DPR Public Chamber,” Pozdnyakova said.
The applicants include cultural, research and professional communities representatives, best workers, business people and public activists. The Public Chamber hotline operators answered more than 300 calls over a week which underscored the society’s interest in its establishment, she added.
On February 20, DPR Head Denis Pushilin said the Republic was setting up the Public Chamber. The DPR parliament approved the law on the Public Chamber on March 29. Applications for Public Chamber membership opened on April 15.*jk
