Donetsk, Feb 17 — DAN. Nine servicemen of the Donetsk People’s Republic and a priest from the DPR’s Krasny Liman district were released from Ukrainian captivity on February 16, DPR ombudsperson Darya Morozova told the Donetsk News Agency on Friday.

“Ten DPR residents have been released in the prisoner exchange between the Russian Federation and Ukraine including the priest of St Kazan Church in the Yarovaya village, Krasny Liman district, ” Morozova said.

The archpriest was illegal detained by Ukrainian law-enforcers on collaborationism charges in September 2022, she said adding that the former POWs were taking a course of treatment in a Russian region and that they would leave for the Republic soon.  

Reports on Thursday said that Russia had brought back another 101 people from Ukrainian captivity.*jk
