Donetsk, Jul 14 – DAN. Nearly 600 doctors are treating COVID-19 patients in DPR hospitals, the deputy Health Minister Alexander Oprischenko said.

"Currently nearly 600 doctors are treating COVID-19 in-patients in DPR hospitals," he said.

Twenty designated medical centers have been launched, the total of 1,847 beds are available. The number of occupied beds varies between 50-70 pc.

Last year, 18 designated medical centers operated to treat COVID-19 patients.

More than 50 pc of patients have mild forms of the illness.

DPR has registered 132 new cases of COVID-19 as of July 14, as the total number of confirmed cases climbed to 44,947. First patients was diagnosed on March 31, 2020.

The number of coronavirus contacts across the world has exceeded 186.8 million by now; of those, over 4 million people died, according to the WHO. *ot
