Donetsk, Oct 1 – DAN. Three children have been killed, another injured after triggering a land mine outside Gorlovka, the town's mayor, Ivan Prikhodko, said.
"At around 11.40 a.m. September 30 four adolescents were walking along (military) positions from Bessarabka towards Mayorsk and triggered a mine. Three were killed."
A 10-year-old boy was also in hospital with shrapnel injuries.
The victims attended 5-8 forms of the same school.
A source in law enforcement told DAN that no military was present in the area and therefore there was no chance to prevent boys from entering the dangerous area. Although warning signs are installed along the contact line in the neighborhood. *ot
