Donetsk, Jun 3 – DAN. DPR police has apprehended a Snezhnoye resident who blasted two hand grenades as a fight with his wife got heated, the Interior Ministry said.
Police report showed that both man and his wife were under alcohol influence. The 44-year-old then exploded two grenades in front of the house injuring himself and the wife.
Both have been taken to hospital with shrapnel wounds of various degree.
Police recovered an RGN-type grenade and its fuze and sent it to laboratory.
The report has not specified whether the two reconciled.
The incident is investigated under Article 256 Part 1 of the DPR Criminal Code (Illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation, or bearing of firearms, its basic parts, ammunition, explosives, or explosive devices) foreseeing up to four years of imprisonment or a fine of up to 80.000 rubles. *ot
