Donetsk, Apr 24 - DAN. Malian presidential candidate Oumar Mariko said Kiev authorities resorted to "barbaric" actions to subdue Donbass residents by military force.
Mariko said at a press conference on Tuesday that he had visited the sites in the Republic in the morning where he saw the destruction evidencing the Ukrainian army aggression. He also said he had heard about a high death toll among civilians and children and ruined churches and houses. He said he believed it was terrible and barbaric striving by Ukrainian authorities to subdue a freedom-loving nation.
He underlined that Kiev’s actions were a direct violation of human rights. The authentic information about the situation in the conflict zone is deliberately withheld from the international community. Marico promised to do everything towards providing unbiased updates of the Donbass situation to residents of other countries.
On Wednesday, DPR ombudswoman Darya Morozova had a meeting with Oumar Mariko. She drew the Malian official’s attention to regular Donbass ceasefire violations by the Ukrainian military. *jk
