Donetsk, Jan 26 – DAN. Ukraine promised to provide an up-to-date list of DPR captives as early as Friday, the Republic’s ombudswoman Darya Morozova said.
“The Humanitarian Group held a video conference over prisoner exchange today. We secured a promise by Ukraine to answer all our official requests. We expect the detainee list to be provided tomorrow,” Morozova said.
Unlike Donetsk, Kiev has not forwarded any official POW exchange proposals. However, it confirmed readiness to discuss finalized POW lists at the 1 February meeting in Minsk.
“I hope we’ll have a preliminary date for prisoner exchange then. I reiterate that we’re expecting a large POW swap in line with the Package of Measures for the Implementation of Minsk Agreements. By and large, the video conference yielded positive results,” the ombudswoman said.
Earlier on Thursday, the Humanitarian Group held video talks over prisoner exchange attended by Kiev’s special representative Viktor Medvedchuk. *jk
