Donetsk, Oct 23 - DAN. The International forum “Russian World and Donbass: From Cooperation to Integration” has opened in the Conference Hall of the Shakhtar Plaza Hotel in Donetsk on Tuesday.
Acting Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin, acting Head of the Lugansk People’s Republic Leonid Pasechnik, coordinator of the Russia-Donbass Integration Committee, Russian State Duma deputy Andrey Kozenko, public activists and education, science and culture representatives attended the opening ceremony. The organisers said the event has brought together some 550 people.
The forum started with a session addressing the theme “Russian World 2018. Achievement. Challenges. Prospects.” The forum will run at several venues from October 23 till October 26. Among the speakers will be representatives of the DPR, the LPR, Russia, South Ossetia, Belarus and Nicaragua.
The forum will host discussions, “round table” meetings and conferences over Donbass integration in Russia’s education, cultural and economic space.
Some 4,000 people are expected to attend forum events in four days.*jk
