Donetsk, Oct 12 — DAN. The first residents of the Donetsk People’s Republic have received their individual insurance account number (SNILS) which is used in the compulsory pension insurance system, the DPR Ministry of Labor and Social Policy reported.

“The Pension Fund in Donetsk has issued SNILS to the first three persons, ” a PF representative said.

Residents can apply for SNILS at any Pension Fund office in the Republic or obtain it through an employer (the PF has already launched an SNILS outreach campaign for DPR companies). The applicant needs to produce their ID and its copy and submit a written request. The Pension Fund accepts DPR, Russian and Ukrainian passports.

The applicant is informed that their SNILS is ready by phone. Residents can use the procedure to have their SNILS issued on paper if the individual insurance account number has already been assigned but not issued, or they can correct or update personal data in case of error.

Parents who wish to to register their children for obtaining SNILS need to show the child’s birth certificate. A notarized translation is required for the document filled in the Ukrainian language.*jk
