Donetsk, Apr 9 – DAN. The DPR residents have celebrated on Sunday one of the most significant Orthodox holidays – the Easter, attending masses and traditional ceremonies of consecrating kulich cakes and eggs.
Dozens of thousand people attended the All-night Vigil in churches across the DPR on the night April 7-8. The curfew has been lifted for the night. In the morning, people were seen queueing to attend places of worship and consecrate kulich cakes and other dishes for the Easter table.
The DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko vivisted the St.Nicolas Cathedral in Dontesk, one of oldest cathedrals of the eparchy. He extended his congratulations to all the Christians. *ot
