Donetsk, Jan 2 - DAN. Hundreds of children from across the Donetsk People’s Republic attended DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko’s Big New Year party at Donetsk State Academic Music and Drama Theatre on Tuesday.
The festivities began in the morning as the young guests were given a traditional welcome by Father Christmas and Snow Maiden with their aides, baby hares and baby wolf who joined songs and dances by the New Year tree. The children saw a theatrical performance and received sweet gifts. The festivities lasted more than three hours.
The DPR leader lit the Big New Year Tree on 25 December. On the first day, the celebrations gathered 750 children from all over the Republic. *jk
