Donetsk, Jun 19 (DAN) - The handover to Kiev of the next group of inmates who wish to serve out their sentences in Ukraine might not take place through Ukraine’s fault, the Donetsk People’s Republic State Penitentiary Service said on Tuesday.
“June 27 is the tentative date for the transfer to Ukraine of 20 inmates who have been serving their sentences in DPR prisons. Kiev has not contacted the Republic’s authorized representatives in violation of the accords,” the Penitentiary Service’s report said.
In February 2018, the DPR passed to Kiev 20 inmates who wished to serve their sentences in Ukraine. Donetsk has passed 186 convicts to Ukraine since the beginning of the Donbass conflict.*jk
