Donetsk, Jan 15 - DAN. The Gorlovka-Dzerzhinsk water duct has been operating as usual, no shelling has been recorded in the area, head of the Donetsk People’s Republic office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination Ruslan Yakubov told the Donetsk News Agency on Tuesday.

“As of now, there’ve been no interruptions in the operation of the Gorlovka-Dzerzhinsk water duct; water is supplied to all customers,” Yakubov said. “The situation in the area is stable, no shellings have been recorded.”

After repairs, the water supply system was refilled without accidents, he added.

The accident in the water supply system between Gorlovka and the Ukraine-controlled Dzerzhinsk on January 12 affected some 50,000 residents. It was a second such crisis in the recent months. A similar accident ocucrred in December 2018. At that time, security guarantees effective till January 17, 2019 were provided to the DPR’s Voda Donbassa company which carried out repairs.*jk
