Donetsk, Jan 21 – DAN. Ukrainian saboteurs were killed after triggering mines outside Avdeyevka on January 20, said the head of the DPR People's Militia HQ press service Daniil Bezsonov citing intelligence.

"Lately Ukrainian reconnaissance units have activated north of Donetsk. Yesterday, another squad failed not even embarking on their task."
He said, four troops of the 131st separate reconnaissance battalion of the Ukrainian armed forces drove into a minefield installed by the engineers of the 93rd brigade. All four were killed.

"The enemy's activities in this zone are alarming. It has been their third attempt in 2019 to employ a saboteur and reconnaissance squad north-east of Avdeyevka, all three ended up in a failure."

Both previous incidents took place on January 5. A reconnaissance group of special force personnel came under friendly fire of the 93rd brigade. Later two of the reconnaissance group troops died, one sustained injury when trying to make a passage through a minefield. *ot
