Donetsk, 26 Oct - DAN. Two children are among those injured in a central Donetsk apartment house explosion, the Republic’s Health Care Ministry press service told Donetsk News Agency.
“There are five casualties as of now including two children, aged eight and four,” a press service employee said.
A 17-year-old girl is among the victims; she was rushed to Gusak Emergency and Restorative Surgery Institute with burns over 98 percent of her body.
An explosion ripped through an apartment house in central Donetsk’s Krasnoarmeiskaya Street in the vicinity of city Hospital No 5 on Thursday evening. DPR Emergencies Minister Alexey Kostrubitskiy is leading the rescue operation.
Preliminary reports said the accident had been caused by natural gas explosion.*jk
