Donetsk, Sep 8 — DAN. The first multi-functional public services center (MFC) has opened in Yasinovataya, a frontline town of the Donetsk People’s Republic, mayor Dmitry Shevchenko told the Donetsk News Agency.
The facility has seven customer service points and necessary equipment for people with reduced mobility. It attended to several dozen customers in a few hours, Shevchenko said.
“There was no official opening ceremony for safety reasons. The population is already using the MFC; they no longer have to go to other towns to get documents, ” he said.
Another MFC will be launched shortly after it has completed to personnel hiring. The town launched the construction of two multi-functional public services centers in June with the assistance of Russian sponsors from the Chelyabinsk region. Previously, Yasinovataya had no such facilities. Yasinovataya, a key railway hub, is located 20 kilometers north of Donetsk. It has been a frontline town since 2014 as it comes under Ukrainian artillery fire almost every day.*jk
