Donetsk, Feb 22 – DAN. Donetsk residents and visitors will be treated to fireworks this evening to celebrate February 23, the Defender of the Fatherland Day.

"On the Defender of the Fatherland Day, Febryary 23, 2019 at 9 p.m. local time, fireworks will be launched," said the DPR mission to the JCCC.

The mission clarified, that launching fireworks during entertaining events does not violate the Minsk Agreements.

The Defender of the Fatherland Day is celebrated across post-Soviet countries. It was established in 1922 as the Red Army and Fleet Day. Ukraine has abolished it. *ot
