Donetsk, May 19 - DAN. Eight people have tested positive for coronavirus infection in the Donetsk People’s Republic over the past 24 hours, the DPR Healthcare Ministry reported on Tuesday.
“Over the past 24 hours, DPR medics confirmed eight new COVID-19 cases,” the report said.
There are three medics and a Foreign Ministry employee among the new coronavirus patients. Previously, they had contacts with the infected. Their condition is satisfactory; all of them are receiving necessary medical assistance, the Ministry said.
As of now, the DPR has confirmed 256 COVID-19 cases; 207 people are undergoing treatment. Six patients have been discharged from hospitals over the past 24 hours; overall, 42 people have recovered from COVID-19.
An 84-year-old man and a 58-year-old woman have died of coronavirus infection over the past 24 hours. Seven people in the DPR have died of COVID-19 since the first coronavirus infection case was reported on March 31.*jk
