Donetsk, Mar 11 - DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic plans to set up laboratories in Donetsk and Makeyevka in 2021 to improve the quality and effectiveness of medical diagnostics, acting DPR Health Care Minister Alexander Oprischenko said at a ministerial meeting chaired by DPR Head Denis Pushilin on Thursday.

“We allocated money this year to launch laboratories with advanced information systems to improve the quality of diagnostics and reduce the cost of medical tests,” Oprischenko said. “Initially, they will appear in Donetsk and Makeyevka. If the programme continues we’ll plan to have four such laboratories.”

The Republic had no such laboratories before, he added.

Earlier reports said that DPR authorities would allocate one billion rubles for the development of the Republic’s health care system.*jk
