Donetsk, Jun 26 - DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic plans to create the Donbass Book of Records, acting DPR Minister of Youth, Sports and Tourism Alexander Gromakov told the Donetsk News Agency on Tuesday.

“We have an idea to create the Donbass Book of Records to list achievements in the DPR, LPR and Kiev-controlled areas of the region. It is the right thing if the Book shows records of all Donbass, not just our Republic’s,” Gromakov said.

The recording of achievement is currently underway, he added.  For example, at the youth festival in the Scherbakov Park on May 24, brothers Rustam and Rafael Fatkulin from the town of Torez lifted 16-kilogram kettlebells. A score of 1,200 was recorded in one-hour pushing and 1,330 in alternative pressing. A kettlebell was lifted 2,018 times within one hour 40 minutes. The results were recognised as DPR records and will be entered in the Donbass Book of Records.*jk
