Donetsk, Oct 29 - DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic medics will launch population immunisation using the flu vaccine received as part of Russian humanitarian aid, the DPR Healthcare Ministry press service reported on Thursday.
“The relief supplies from Russia include the flu vaccine for the DPR population,” the press service said. “The vaccination campaign for DPR residents will begin shortly; a notification thereof will be released.”
At present, specialists are taking stock of the supplied medications for subsequent distribution among DPR medical centres in accordance with their needs.
Residents will have to contact their family doctor or district therapist over contraindications, preparation for vaccination and referral to the local immunisation provider.
Earlier reports said that the 99th Russian humanitarian aid convoy arrived in the DPR on Thursday. Russian rescuers delivered some 65 tons of relief supplies to the Republic including flu vaccines.*jk
