Donetsk, Jun 3 — DAN. DPR has temporarily blocked the Viber messenger, the statement published at the Head’s official website reads.
The State Committee of Defence adopted the Decree No.100 temporarily banning the Viber messenger application in the DPR and restricting access to the application.
The document clarifies the decision was made in order to avoid the dissemination of illegal information, inaccurate information of civil and military nature, direct threats to the addressees from unidentified senders, propaganda of violence, psychological pressure, the distribution of sites and programs that can lead to a leakage of personal data, illegal fraudulent actions, and the disclosure of information on the geolocation of the user through the distribution of malware or phishing programs. *ot
