Donetsk, Dec 21 - DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service has not detected a deviation in drinking water organoleptic indicators after testing the samples from Donetsk, Makeyevka, Yenakiyevo and Gorlovka water networks, the DPR Healthcare Ministry reported on Tuesday.
“Laboratory tests have not revealed deviations in organoleptic indicators in the drinking water sampled in the administrative areas of the towns of Gorlovka, Yenakiyevo, Donetsk and Makeyevka,” the report said. “The quality of the water supplied via the Seversky Donets - Donbass canal has improved considerably.”
The water meets the requirements for microbiological indicators. The tests are ongoing. “The Republic’s population is recommended to use purified water until the situation has stabilized,” the Ministry said.
Deviations in the quality of the water supplied via the SDD canal were reported in mid-December. Most of the SDD facilities are located in Ukraine-controlled areas. In the Ukrainian territory, an unpleasant odor in the water was recorded in November.*jk
