Donetsk, Dec 1 - DAN. Outpatients with pneumonia or suspected COVID-19 in the Donetsk People’s Republic can have ELISA (enzyme-linked immunoassay) tests for free at home, the DPR healthcare Ministry said on Tuesday.
“Blood sampling for ELISA tests (enzyme-linked immunoassay – eds Donetsk News Agency) will be carried out for primary care outpatients with pneumonia or suspected COVID-19 with the view of making a timely diagnosis and taking anti-epidemiological measures,” the report said.
The test for this group of the population will be free of charge. It will be taken one week after the appearance of clinical symptoms, mostly at home; all anti-viral requirements will be met, the Ministry said.
Earlier reports said that the DPR had imported some 52,000 COVID-19 test kits, including 18,000 ELISA test kits.
The DPR currently has 10,829 confirmed COVID-19 cases. One hundred and seventy-seven new conronavirus infection cases have been reported in the DPR since Monday; 4,664 people are taking treatment as in- or outpatients, 1,019 people have died and 5,146 have recovered since the beginning of the pandemic.*jk
