Yelenovka, Jul 7 - DAN. The Yelenovka crossing point south of Donetsk resumed operation on Tuesday after a nine-day pause.

The two-way passage will be available from 9:00 to 18:00 on Tuesday. Under Donetsk People’s Republic Head Denis Pushilin’s decree, the COVID-19 Crisis Headquarters will decide on the next days of operation.

At present, some 100 cars and up to 300 citizens are queuing to exit the DPR.

Registration in Kiev-controlled territory is the requirement for exiting the DPR. The Republic’s COVID-19 Crisis Headquarters draws the lists of visitors from Ukraine who are allowed to enter.  All of them will be under two-week observation, free of charge.

Contact line crossing in Donbass was suspended in March due to the threat of spreading of the coronavirus infection. The decision to resume the traffic across the contact line was made after protracted Ukrainian-DPR talks over humanitarian corridor.*jk
