Donetsk, Apr 20 — DAN. Demobilized students of the Donetsk People’s Republic will enjoy support from the authorities in realizing their plans in peaceful life, said DPR leader administration chief of staff Alexey Nikonorov.
“The guys say that people are absolutely different before and after rehabilitation, ” Nikonorov said at the press conference of the autonomous non-profit organization “Russia — the Land of Opportunities, ” dedicated to the start of an upgraded “Thank You, Brothers” project.
“It means a great demand for this focus area as it has a very positive impact on our students who took part in the special military operation. The students did everything they could when the Motherland needed their help. Our duty is to secure their soonest return to peaceful life, help them take a rehabilitation course and provide all opportunities for realizing them in peaceful life, ” he said.
A large program to train mentors and coordinators for project participants would be launched. It will help them acquire skills for working with the demobilized students from the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, said DPR government deputy chairperson Larisa Tolstykina.
“The Republic worked out special measures to support demobilized servicemen in the first days of demobilization, from individual training programs to the establishment of centers for psychological support and help. We understand that you can never have too much help, so we’re happy that the project is ongoing, it’s very important to us that it is aimed not only at assistance to students but also helps our mentors who work with them in the Republic, ” Tolstykina said.
On Thursday, Moscow, Donetsk and Lugansk had a joint press conference on registration for an upgraded “Thank You Brothers” project for demobilized students from the DPR and the LPR. In the DPR, the video link was arranged by the Donetsk News Agency. Earlier reports said that some 2,000 demobilized students would undergo rehabilitation under the project.
“Russia — the Land of Opportunities” (RSV) is an autonomous non-profit organization established at the initiative of President Vladimir Putin in 2018. The platform brings together 26 contests, projects and Olympiads. Over four years of its operation, 18 million people from all over Russia and 150 countries have become participants of its projects, and more than 1,500 companies, universities, and state and social organizations have partnered RSV projects.*jk
