Donetsk, Jun 20 - DAN. The work on proposals on local self-rule legislation remains a priority for the Public Chamber of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Public Chamber chairman Alexander Kofman told reporters on Thursday.

“One of the key issues in the near future is the work on the local self-rule law,” Kofman said. “It is currently one of the most acute problems.”

Public Chamber members also plan to prepare various projects, he added.

Public Chamber deputy chairwoman for economic issues Yekaterina Martyanova noted the importance of communication with DPR business representatives and analysis of the current level of business in the Republic.

Plans are in place to set up Public Chamber community liaison offices in DPR towns and districts.

The DPR Public Chamber held its first meeting in Donetsk earlier on Thursday.*jk
