Donetsk, Nov 13 - DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic ombudswoman Darya Morozova has sent reports on Ukrainian drone strikes at peaceful DPR settlements to international organisations.
“In violation of the international humanitarian law banning attacks on civilian facilities and indiscriminate attacks in the course of military operations, Ukrainian armed forces on November 7 delivered an airstrike at residential facilities in Staromikhailovka using an unmanned aerial vehicle, of which we have documented evidence,” Morozova’s press service quoted her as saying.
These actions by the Ukrainian military are an “outrageous and inadmissible human right violation,” she said.
“I sent statements to the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission, the International Committee of the Red Cross and the OSCE Monitoring Mission about the inadmissibility of international humanitarian law violations such as the use of banned means or methods of warfare. I hope that the international community’s close attention and principled position on the admissibility of war crimes in Donbass will contribute to de-escalation,” the ombudswoman said.
In the evening of November 7, a Ukrainian attack drone opened fire at the Mineralnoye neighbourhood outside Donetsk. The UAV was downed by thanks to good teamwork of DPR air defence units. Later on, the DPR People’s Militia showed a video proving Kiev’s crimes.*jk
