Donetsk, Nov 11 – DAN. DPR sportsmen have won medal set at the 9th KWF World Cup in Japan, including 10 gold medals, the DPR Ministry of Youth, Sport and Tourism said.
"DPR karate national team won 13 medals at the KWF World Cup in Japan, winning 10 golds, two silvers and a bronze."
The tournament took place in Tokyo on Nov 9-10 bringing together sportsmen from 32 countries.
The Ministry said the DPR team was introduced as a full member of the Karatenomichi World Federation.
The KWF is an international organization promoting classic style Japanese Karate. "The path of Karate is an act of art, as we as humans bring ourselves to the creation of beauty in our nature", the KWF's statement of philosophy reads. *ot
