Donetsk, Feb 14 - DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic People’s Militia shot down a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle which had been adjusting fire at Donetsk outskirts, DPR People’s Militia spokesman Daniil Bezsonov said on Thursday.
“Yesterday, our defenders north-west of Donetsk downed another UAV used by Ukraine’s 57th Motorised Infantry Brigade gunmen to adjust fire at the outskirts of the Republic’s capital in violation of the Minsk accords,” Bezsonov said.
Specialists retrieved the UAV memory card and are now examining it, he added.
In the past few days the Ukrainian army has increased strikes with heavy weapons at the DPR from nearly all points along the contact line.
On the Donetsk axis alone, Ukrainian army units fired 60 120mm and 82mm mortar rounds over the past 24 hours. Alexandrovka, Trudovskiye, Zhabichevo, Vesyoloye, Spartak, the Donetsk airport area and Yasinovataya came under fire.*jk
