Donetsk, Jan 17 – DAN. DPR medical examiner's office is ready to use new state-of-art equipment, the Republic's Ombudswoman Daria Morozova said.
"DPR medical examiner's office of the DPR Ministry of Health is putting new state-of-art automatic equipment into operation in February 2022," she said.
The upgrade of the laboratories began in autumn last year to achieve a higher standard of identification of human remains.
The DPR has been collecting information on DNA of relatives of those missing in the conflict since 2017.
Currently, forensic experts are genotyping the remains of the bodies and identify them if blood samples from close relatives are available. *ot
