Donetsk, Jan 19 - DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic will open 32 COVID-19 vaccination centres in the nearest future, the DPR Healthcare Ministry reported on Tuesday.
According to the published list, Donetsk hospitals or outpatient clinics will accommodate 17 such centres; six will be set up in Makeyevka, three in Gorlovka and two in Yenakiyevo, while Torez, Shakhtyorsk and the Amvrosiyevskiy and Novoazovskiy districts will open one each.
Inoculations will be carried out unless contraindicated. More information about the beginning of vaccination, a detailed list of contraindications etc will be published on the DPR Healthcare Ministry’s official website.
Earlier, DPR Head Denis Pushilin said that the first batch of the Russian-made vaccine against the coronavirus infection was expected to arrive in the DPR in January 2021.
Russia began to produce a COVID-19 vaccine last summer. It was registered on August 11, the first in the world. The vaccine, Sputnik V, was developed by the Russian Health Ministry’s Gamaleya Research Centre.*jk
