Donetsk, Jul 2 - DAN. The minimal pension in the Donetsk People’s Republic was raised to 4,000 rubles starting July 1, 2019. The relevant decree by DPR Head Denis Pushilin was published on the head of state website on Tuesday.
“The minimum retirement benefit with increments, increases etc. is fixed at 4,000 Russian rubles and the survivor pension at 4,000 rubles per each unemployable member of family,” Pushilin’s Decree No 201 said.
Until Tuesday, the minimum pension in the Republic made up 3,194 (which included the 10-percent increase effective from July 1, 2018).
Pushilin’s decree also provides for a pension rise by 1 percent of the minimum pension per each full year of employment in excess of the legal norm. On top of that, the document envisions a 25-percent increase in pensions for certain groups.
Pushilin ordered the DPR Pension Fund to recalculate pensions based on Decree 201 as it came into effect on July 1, 2019.
Earlier, the DPR Head announced a significant increase in public sector wages and pensions in July. A new increase is expected in January 2020.*jk
