Donetsk, Jan 31 - DAN. The Friday and weekend curfew in the Donetsk People’s Republic will not operate till the end of this year, DPR Head Denis Pushilin’s Decree No 22 of January 31, 2022 said.
In the period from February 1, 2022 till June 1, 2022, the curfew will be suspended every week starting 23:00, Friday till 05:00, Monday. In the period from June 1, 2022 to October 1, 2022, the length of the curfew will be cut by one hour to 04:00 Monday. From October 1, 2022 till December 31, 2022, the curfew will be suspended from 23:00, Friday to 05:00, Monday.
The decree took effect on the date of signing.
The DPR introduced curfew across the country in 2014 to restrict the movement of citizens and vehicles in the streets at nighttime. The weekend curfew did not operate in the DPR before, but the suspension expires on February 1. Pushiltin’s decree extends it till yearend. *jk
