Donetsk, Apr 1 - DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic Construction and Housing and Public Utilities Ministry reported that all water supply facilities in the DPR were operating as usual and that no interruptions had occurred.
“The DPR water supply runs in a routine mode. The facilities are in operation supplying water to customers,” the Construction and Housing and Public Utilities deputy minister said.
Earlier, Ukraine said it planned to cut off electricity to the DPR’s Voda Donbassa due to debts and annul the agreements with the company. It would mean the shutdown of water supply to settlements across the region; millions of people on both sides of the contact line could be left without water.
Later on, the Ukrainian Cabinet decided to extend the operation of the indefinite agreements between Ukrinterenergo and Voda Donbassa until the latter found a new electricity supplier. Therefore, there are no immediate plans to disconnect vital facilities from power supply, the DPR said.*jk
