DPR farmers bring in 40 percent of 2017 harvest - Zakharchenko

Donetsk, Aug 10 - DAN. DPR agribusinesses brought in more than 40 percent of 2017 harvest, the Republic’s leader Alexander Zakharchenko told reporters on Thursday.

“As of today, farmers have gathered more than 40 percent of harvest,” Zakharchenko said adding that harvesting would be fully completed on time.

The so-called ‘harvest ceasefire’ has been in effect in Donbass since 24 June midnight.

The Contact Group agreed a truce, to be effective until 31 August, at its meeting in Minsk on 21 June.

Ukrainian forces have often violated the accords shelling DPR territory, in particular its southern areas.*jk
