Donetsk, Apr 25 - DAN. DPR authorities established a Civil Defence Academy, Education and Science Ministry press service reported on Tuesday.
“DPR now has a new higher vocational education institute, the DPR Emergencies Ministry Civil Defence Academy,” the report said.
The objective is to enhance protection of the population and territory from natural and man-caused emergencies.
The Academy was established at the emergencies minister's instruction dated 4 April 2017 on the basis of Donbass Civil Defence Institute, Donetsk National Technical University. All Institute students were enrolled in the Academy training programme.
The Emergencies Ministry set up Donbass Civil Defence Institute in October 2014 by agreement with DPR Education and Science Ministry. The institute trains specialists for the Emergencies Ministry in technosphere and fire safety, radio engineering and information security. *jk
