Donetsk, Oct 4 – DAN. The Head of Yasinovataya regional transmission organization of the state Electricity Authority Pavel Gritsenko has been killed by an ammunition explosion as he was monitoring a damaged power line outside Yasinovataya, the Ministry of Coal and Energy said.
"Today, while monitoring a damaged PTL, the head of Yasinovataya regional transmission organization of the state Electricity Authority Pavel Gritsenko was killed in an ammunition explosion. It was a working visit to establish the scope of repair works at the PTL from Razdolnaya substation feeding Verkhnetroitskoye village," the press statement said.
Gritsenko has been working in energy industry for 13 years. As the war broke out in Donbass, he took active part in restoring Yasinovataya district.
"The ministry's staff extend their condolences over the tragic death of Authority Pavel Gritsenko to his family and friends," the statement reads. Gritsenko is survived by his two underage sons.
The DPR Command said that one serviceman has also been killed in the accident while on duty providing safety of the repair team. *ot
